The Freedom Trail After Dark: Lantern Tours

Experience the mystery, wonder, and dark history of the storied Freedom Trail, lit by beautiful lantern light. This tour offers a haunting experience filled with fatal sword-fights, tales of murder, witch trials, and pirate graves. Follow a Freedom Trail Player as you walk this one-mile, 90-minute tour down Boston’s most iconic path. Hear true accounts of terrible crimes, demonic possessions, and brutal murders at the hands of sneaky spies and veiled assassins.

The tour is for visitors 12 and older. Specific tour dates and departure times can be requested by calling (617) 357-8300. Children under six attend free, and seniors and students enjoy a discounted ticket price.

The 19th Annual Horror Marathon

If you enjoy horror films, Boston has a movie marathon for you! Scheduled for Oct. 26, 2019, at Coolidge Corner Theater, this marathon lasts 12 hours beginning at midnight. Enjoy live music and a costume contest before diving into some of the scariest movies in film history, including “The Amityville Horror” (1979) and “Poltergeist” (1982). Five other films are on offer, but will not be announced before they hit the screen. Enjoy this terrifying event with friends as you watch some of the spookiest tales in film unfold!

The Great Pumpkin Beer Festival

Enjoy the best beer and grilled food in Boston at The Great Pumpkin Beer Festival. Set to begin on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1 Kendall Square, Building 100, Cambridge, Massachusetts, this festival offers a long list of delicious beers for its patrons and guests. The event is split into three sessions: the first from noon to 3 p.m., the second from 4 to 7 p.m., and the third from 8 p.m. to midnight. Session three is restricted to guests age 21 and over. Come costumed and try out a lineup of 46 mostly pumpkin-flavored beers.

The Hard Rock Halloween Thriller

On Oct. 26, gather at The Hard Rock Cafe near Faneuil Hall for a Halloween party you’ll never forget. Witness Bostonites adorned in their best costumes as they participate in one of the city’s most popular bar crawls. Enjoy the bars, pubs, and lounges of Beantown while listening to live DJs as they play famous house and hip-hop music.
