2020 Jeep Gladiator | 495 CJDR in Lowell, MAThe Jeep Gladiator is an exciting new entry in Jeep’s lineup. Inspired by the classic Wrangler but designed from the ground up, it’s a refined pickup that’s capable of serving as a solid work truck or an off-road adventure vehicle. Let’s learn all about the power, performance, features, and other attractive elements of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator!

Trim Levels and Technology

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is available in four different trim levels. The base trim is the Sport, followed by the Sport S midrange trim, then the Overland which adds luxury touches, and at the top of the line is the Rubicon, combining luxury with class-leading off-road capability.

At the base level, you’ll get features like eight-speaker audio with a 5-inch display, Bluetooth with voice controls, and a rearview camera. The Sport S trim adds power accessories, heated power mirrors and auto-dim rearview mirrors, plus a number of packages that give you features like smartphone integration, satellite radio, a touch-screen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and advanced safety systems.

The Overland adds features like ambient interior lighting, automatic headlights, extra USB ports, and a 110-volt power outlet in the console. At the Rubicon level, you’ll get even more off-road features. Tech options at all levels include an Alpine stereo system with an amp and subwoofer, customizable electrical device switches, LED headlights, an 8.4-inch touch screen, and a detachable speaker.

Towing and Performance

Even at the base level, the Gladiator offers respectable towing capacity from the 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 260 pound-feet of torque, which allows for 4,500 pounds of towing from its Class II bumper hitch and includes trailer sway control and a combination 4-pin/7-pin plug. When properly equipped with the right package, the Gladiator is capable of a maximum towing capacity of 7,650 pounds – best in class for small pickups!

There’s only a single 5-foot bed size, but the tailgate is configurable to allow for hauling an 8-foot sheet of plywood safely. The maximum cargo capacity for hauling is 1,600 pounds.

Off-Roading

The Gladiator is a Jeep, after all, and that means it’s built to tackle untamed trails. Choose the Rubicon trim level, and you’ll get best-in-class off-roading. This includes a low-crawl-ratio transfer case, increased ground clearance with 33-inch all-terrain tires, an electronic disconnecting front stabilizer bar, locking differentials, rock rails, skid plates, and special shock absorbers from Fox. If you need a truck that can crawl over the roughest terrain while still handling a load in the back, this is it.

Safety Features

The Safety Group and Advanced Safety Group add-on packages give you the full range of intelligent active safety features, including front-crash warning and automatic emergency brakes, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, and parking sensors in the back.
