Trim Levels (Exterior)
If you're considering the 2021 Grand Cherokee, then you're spoiled for choice. The SUV boasts one of the most diverse lineups in its class, offering you 10 distinct trim levels. These options are the Laredo E, Laredo X, Limited, Limited X, 80th Anniversary, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, SRT, and Trackhawk. The Laredo X and 80th Anniversary are new additions for the 2021 model year. What's more, the Grand Cherokee's lower trims come standard with 18-inch wheels, while the upper trims run on 20-inch wheels and all-terrain tires.
Engine (Power)
Not only does it have several trims to consider, but the Grand Cherokee also has four different engines available. The standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine produces 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This engine comes standard with rear-wheel drive, though you can upgrade to four-wheel drive. Besides the base powertrain, there are three V-8 engines available — all with four-wheel drive. The first is a 5.7-liter engine that gets 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.
The second V-8, a 6.4-liter, produces 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. A 6.2-liter supercharged completes the V-8 lineup and delivers a whopping 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque. The 6.4-liter engine comes standard on the SRT trim, while the 6.2-liter turbocharged powertrain is on the Trackhawk. Also, all engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The 2021 Grand Cherokee is perfect for city and highway driving, featuring precise handling and smooth cornering. It also gives you the comfort of a luxury SUV and the power of a large sedan. The Grand Cherokee is a stellar off-roading vehicle largely due to its different four-wheel-drive systems. The base four-wheel-drive system, called Quadra-Trac I and available on the Laredo trims, splits the power equally between the front tires and rear tires. The Quadra-Trac is standard or optional on select trims and adds a low-range gearbox and hill-descent control. The Quadra-Drive II, standard on the Trailhawk and Summits with the V-8 engine, includes a controlled limited-slip differential for better traction. Interior
Even the base trim of the 2021 Grand Cherokee has a comfortable and plush interior. Its
front seats covered in cloth upholstery are comfortable, and the legroom is ample even in the rear seats. Those seats can recline up to 12 degrees, which comes in handy for longer drives. Moving up in trims adds leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and powered lumbar adjustments.
